November 6, 2009Due to health concerns, LEAVES' EYES bassist Alla Fedynitch will sit out the band's shows for the remainder of the year. Her temporary replacement will be Oliver Holzwarth (TARJA TURUNEN, BLIND GUARDIAN),who previously joined LEAVES' EYES on stage for two songs during the German/Norwegian female-fronted metal group's acoustic performance at the Metal Female Voices Fest on October 19, 2009 in Wieze, Belgium.
Watch fan-filmed video footage of the perfomance below.
Fedynitch is suffering from a herniated vertebral disk and paralysis on her right hand, making it impossible for her to tour with the group.
Commented LEAVES' EYES: "Alla has to take a physiotherapeutic treatment for the next six weeks which makes it impossible for her to play the upcoming shows in Italy (October 31) and the Beauty & The Beast Tour (with LEAVES' EYES, ATROCITY, SIRENIA, ELIS and STREAM OF PASSION).
"Alla and the whole band deeply regret all this."
"Njord", the new full-length album from LEAVES' EYES, has sold 2,200 copies in the United States since its September 29 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
